Team RICOCHET, Activision’s anti-cheat team, announced the enforcement on social media, emphasizing their accelerated efforts against cheat vendors. They stated, “The Ricochet Anti-Cheat team has now purged the Ranked Play leaderboards in both Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 3, banning accounts for cheating and boosting.” This enforcement led to over 65,000 accounts being banned in just a few days.

Cheating has been a persistent issue in the Call of Duty series, frustrating many legitimate players. The gaming community appreciates these efforts but feels more could be done.

Activision’s ongoing battle against cheaters is challenging. Cheat providers frequently adapt, creating new tools and strategies to bypass detection.
