NZXT H3 Flow Case Review

A Closer Look – Exterior

NZXT has always done a great job with their PC case designs, and the H3 Flow is no exception. It keeps the length required to support the latest and greatest graphics cards, and with a large tempered glass window and some mesh on the left side, you get the benefits of being able to show off your latest build, as well as additional airflow to ensure your hardware is sufficiently cooled.

The front panel is made from steel rather than plastic and comes with a perforated design to provide plenty of additional airflow to your front-mounted fans or radiators.

It’s a really nice and clean design too, with the mesh matching up with the pattern on the side of the case, and a nice cut-out design for the NZXT logo at the bottom of the case.

On the right side, there’s even more ventilation, with a horizontal strip towards the bottom of the case, lining up with the ventilation that can be found on the left side of the case. The panel is flush mounted, and it is held in place by thumbscrews at the back, so it’s easy enough to open up and access your cable management and other components.

On top, there’s yet more ventilation, but rather than steel mesh, this is a flush-mounted dust filter that provides both passive heat exhaust, as well as additional cooling mounts on the top of the case.

The filter is easy enough to remove, as it’s held in place magnetically, so you can quickly clean it or move it out of the way to access the top panel mounts.

Around the back, it’s business as usual for a micro-ATX case, with the motherboard I/O flanked by a fan mount. There are four expansion slots with reusable ventilated metal covers, and an ATX power supply mount at the bottom. It’s great to see the fan mount is height adjustable, even a small amount of movement here can greatly improve compatibility of some cooling hardware. There’s also a removable plate for the expansion slots, which gives you a little more wiggle room when installing larger graphics cards.
