NZXT Kraken Elite 420 RGB AIO CPU Cooler Review

NZXT is one of the most well-known names in PC cooling, with their Kraken series being a prime choice for gamers and PC enthusiasts around the world. Not only have they proven to have competitive and award-winning cooling performance, but they’re also one of the market leaders for aesthetics, too. With the Kraken series offering a compelling blend of RGB lighting and some unique LCD options for additional customisation and cool factor, it’s easy to see what makes them so popular. Now, they’re expanding the Kraken Elite line of all-in-one (AIO) liquid coolers, with a new, much bigger and more powerful 420mm model. Recognised for their blend of performance and aesthetics, NZXT’s cooling solutions cater to a wide range of PC enthusiasts, from gamers to content creators. The new Kraken Elite 420 RGB aims to address the needs of high-end system builders demanding exceptional thermal management and visual customisation.

Kraken Elite 420

The Kraken Elite 420 RGB is engineered to cool the most demanding CPUs in full-tower systems. Keep in mind, this is a huge cooler, so be sure to double-check your case supports it. It’s rather convenient for me that today as NZXT has also launched the new NZXT H9 Flow, which, surprise-surprise, supports their new 420mm cooler. It pairs a large 420mm radiator with NZXT’s Turbine pump to deliver high flow rates and efficient heat dissipation. Beyond its cooling prowess, the cooler features a vibrant RGB cap ring, NZXT RGB Core fans, and a customisable 2.36″ IPS LCD screen, allowing users to monitor system stats and showcase personalised visuals.

Instead of three 140mm fans, the NZXT Kraken Elite 420 features its own custom fan block. This is a 420mm single unit with three fans built in, making it easier to install, but also more aesthetically pleasing.
