AMD Zen 6 Processors Receive Preliminary Support in AIDA64

A new beta version of the AIDA64 software was released this week, and it brings an exciting update for fans of AMD processors. The update includes preliminary support for AMD’s next-generation Zen 6 processors. This means that AIDA64 can now recognize and display information about upcoming AMD products based on Zen 6 architecture.

This support is part of the AIDA64 beta update, which is often used by hardware enthusiasts to check the compatibility of new components before they officially launch. The update shows that AMD is preparing for future releases in the desktop, server, and mobile markets.

Early Support Doesn’t Mean Early Launch

Although this early support is exciting, it does not mean that the Zen 6 processors will be released soon. Tom’s Hardware and TechPowerUp have pointed out that AIDA64 often lists support for new products months or even a year before they are officially announced. So, while this update is significant, it’s still too early to expect an official announcement or launch for the Zen 6 processors. The actual release of these processors could happen in 2026, possibly during Computex 2026.

AMD Medusa is on the Horizon

AMD’s next-generation processors are known by the codename Medusa. For desktop PCs, they are referred to as Medusa Ridge, and for mobile devices, they are called Medusa Point. It’s likely that the Medusa Ridge processors will eventually be released as part of the Ryzen 10000 series, assuming AMD keeps the same naming system.

As for the Medusa Point processors, they may feature Ryzen AI, but we will have to wait a bit longer for more details. AMD is expected to first release an update to its current Ryzen AI 300 series, based on Zen 5 architecture, before launching Medusa Point.
